Atlanta’s multi-Platinum Award-winning hip hop artists Dem Franchize Boyz hit Kona town next weekend.

The artists will bring songs like “Lean wit it, Rock wit it” and “White Tee” to Laverne’s Sports Bar in Kailua Village on Aug. 6. Kailua-Kona’s own DJ Doo Cutz will be kicking the 21-and-up party off at 9 p.m. along with Maui’s Dj Kid Continental.

Tickets to the Joe Doe Ent and Kid Continental event are available by searching for “Dem Franchize Boyz” at www.eventbrite.com. Tickets are $25 presale and $35 at the door.

After a period spent pushing low-key releases and mixtapes, the Atlanta-based group released a self-titled album in September 2004 featuring “White Tee.” It was their second album, 2005’s “On Top of Our Game” that saw mainstream success. A third album was released in 2008.

Dem Franchize Boyz includes members Gerald “Buddie” Tiller, Bernard “Jizzal Man” Leverette, Maurice “Parlae” Gleaton, and Jamall “Pimpin” Willingham.
